Polaris Manufacturing System

Polaris is the end-to-end manufacturing software used by Web Industries.  Web is an innovative flexible-materials converter and manufacturer serving Fortune 100 companies including aerospace, telecommunications, medical and pharmaceutical industries, emerging technologies, and many more.  Polaris provides cost-cutting automation, advanced process and business transaction efficiencies, high to low altitude production and profit visibility, and most of all, critical strategic advantage over competitors in meeting specialized customer information needs.  Polaris serves over 200 users at five U.S. plant locations.
 

 

Pegasus Machinery Sales

Pegasus is the software that drives internet sales for Benick Machineworks. Benick has emerged as a leader providing used and refurbished machinery for flexible-packaging and printing processes.  Pegasus consists of two programs that interact with the same database: a windows-based data entry, sales contact management, and reporting system, and a website application for internet sales.

 

Produce Distributor

'Produce' manages end-to-end purchasing, inventory, sales and distribution for Kilduff, Inc.  Kilduff is a fast-paced produce wholesaler serving Boston area supermarket chains, including Roche Bros., known for high quality produce.   Customers enter orders in a user-friendly Windows-based program, then upload them for the following day's delivery with a single click.  "fresher by far"
 

 

TraverSync       

TraverSync is a fully automated program that imports Polaris transactional data from each of five U.S. plant locations into Traverse off-the-shelf accounting software at a central location.  TraverSync runs unattended nightly and on demand, and sends session summary reports with dollar amounts to relevant accounting personnel for verification and audit control.


 

Gemini

Gemini is a fiber-optic spool refurbishing and recycling management system developed for Web Industries.  Gemini manages 50,000 individual barcoded spools per month from incoming through shipping, and provides feedback on inventory status and production rates.
  • TimeScan: An employee time clock and reporting system.
  • WebCenter: A database reporting system that consolidates sales and other information imported from four disparate manufacturing and sales programs.
  • WIPS: Web Industries Production System This project did not succced and was a valuable lesson in how projects can fail.
